About

From Heraldic fanfare to holiday hide-and-seek, join us for a magical evening filled with holiday rhythm. The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band presents its annual Christmas holiday concert.

Performance selections include Westminster Carol by James Hosey, O Magnum Mysterium, based on a beautiful chorale work by California composer Morten Lauridsen, and a very unusual arrangement of Christmas carols and selections from the Nutcracker Suite by David Lovrien entitled, Minor Alterations.

The traditional poem, The Night Before Christmas, has been arranged for band and narrator by Texas composer Randol Alan Bass. The narration will feature local educator Darieon Malone.

Assistant conductor Charles Emerich will conduct two selections, Fantasia on Christmas by Elliott del Borgo (based on the well-known Ukrainian bell carol ) and a novelty piece entitled We Wish You A Mambo Christmas by Erik Morales featuring the band's percussion section and Latin percussion instruments.

A traditional Christmas "Pop" Sing-A-Long will allow the audience to participate and children from the audience will be invited to come onto the stage to play sleigh bells with the band.
