The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is now in its 8th season with many opportunities available to you and fellow band musicians.

First, we would like to extend an invitation for all band musicians to join with us in rehearsals and performances. It has already been an exciting past seven years as the band continues to grow at a phenomenal rate. Please come and be a part of this wonderful experience! No auditions are ever required.

Second, The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is scheduling concert performances for the Fall and Spring seasons. Everyone is invited to attend these public performances.

If you are interested in joining the Piedmont Prime Time Community Band, please e-mail us at info@primetimeband.org or call the Band Director or Band President in the 'Contact Us' section.

Who can Join?
Membership in the Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is open to adult members of the local community with prior musical training. High school students and other students may join at the discretion of the Band Director. No audition is required for membership at this time.

When and Where are Rehearsals?
Rehearsals are held weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM until 8:45 PM. Please contact Jon Hutchinson regarding location information at (704)425-3508.

What Do I Bring?
Interested members should bring their own instrument (dust-free, please) or arrange for an instrument with the Band Director prior to rehearsal. Also, members are required to own a portable music stand for performances and/or practice sessions.

What Does it Cost?
Membership dues are currently at $20 per member, per semester. These dues help cover the cost of rehearsal space, custodial time, music, and basic supplies.

What Do I Wear?
Men wear tuxedos or black suits with white shirts and black bow tie. Women wear all black. Wear comfortable clothing to rehearsals as the temperature in the band room tends to rise throughout rehearsal.

What happens if the weather is bad for rehearsals or concerts?
Rehearsals and concerts may be cancelled in the event of severe weather, poor road conditions, or other circumstances. The Director and President are responsible for making the decision to either cancel or move a rehearsal. Efforts will be made to notify band members by e-mail or phone. Local news stations WBTV Channel 3 and WSOC-TV Channel 9 will also be notified.
